Good ideas can come from anywhere
Spacelo covers quite a few subjects — from growing at home and making better use of space to useful products, technology and smarter ways of doing everyday things.
That also means there's plenty of room for other people to be part of it.
We're interested in hearing from brands, businesses, designers, creators, experts and people with an interesting idea or experience to share.
It doesn't need to arrive as a perfectly prepared proposal either. If there's something you think would be a good fit for Spacelo, we'd rather hear the idea than miss it.
Products and services we'd like to try
Sometimes the best way to understand whether something is genuinely useful is to actually use it.
We're open to receiving products for testing and review, as well as access to services, apps or other tools that fit with the subjects explored across Spacelo.
That could include anything from growing equipment and clever storage products to smart-home devices, household technology, space-saving ideas or services designed to make homes work better.
If we test something, we'll always aim to give an honest and balanced opinion. That means talking about what works well, but also pointing out where we think something could be improved. We're not interested in trashing a product or putting down the people or businesses behind it. If we find something that doesn't work particularly well, we'd rather explain why and offer constructive feedback where we can.
Sending something to Spacelo doesn't guarantee that it will be featured or receive positive coverage. If we do talk about something we've been given or provided access to, we'll make that clear.
The aim is simple: give readers a useful and fair view of what something does, where it works well and anything worth knowing before deciding whether it's right for them.
Collaborations
We're also open to working with businesses and organisations on collaborations that make sense for Spacelo and its readers.
That might involve exploring an interesting product in more detail, visiting a project or space, speaking to someone with specialist knowledge or creating useful content around a subject we think deserves more attention.
We're particularly interested in collaborations where there's something genuinely useful, unusual or interesting to explore rather than simply something to promote.
As Spacelo grows, the ways we collaborate will probably grow with it.
Contributors and expert knowledge
You don't need to be a brand, company or big influencer to get involved.
Some subjects are better explained by people who work with them, study them or simply have genuine experience with them.
If you're a grower, designer, organiser, engineer, smart-home specialist, researcher, tradesperson, creator or someone with relevant experience, we'd be interested in hearing from you.
That could mean contributing to an article, providing expert insight, helping us understand a subject properly or suggesting something you think Spacelo should investigate.
We won't pretend to know everything — and we don't think a useful website should.
Got an article idea?
You might simply have an idea for something you'd like to see us cover.
Maybe there's a problem in your home you've struggled to find a sensible answer to. Perhaps you've discovered an unusual solution that works surprisingly well. Or you've spotted a new product, technology or way of living that you think deserves a closer look.
Send it our way.
Not every suggestion will become an article, but good ideas are always welcome.
And sometimes the most interesting subjects start with a very simple question.
Let's see where it goes
Spacelo is about exploring ways to make our homes work better — and there are far more ideas out there than we could discover on our own.
So whether you have a product you'd like us to test, a service you think we should try, specialist knowledge to contribute, a potential collaboration or simply an idea worth exploring, we'd be interested to hear about it.
If it fits somewhere within GrowHaus, Space Lab or Smart Living, there's a good chance we'll want to know more.
